Final opportunity! ‘Design Pulse Asia’ exhibition ends in June, seize your chance to join the public guided tour and delve into the wonders of Asian design!

In the rapid changing industrial environment, traditional production models can no longer fully meet the demands for innovation. The rise of 3D printing technology has made ‘instant production of designs’ possible, significantly shortening product development cycles, reducing costs, and achieving unprecedented design freedom.

This is our first time presenting aesthetic lifestyle brands, including local incense brand Heung Yau and smart product design brand Get The Pong. Hong Kong fashion brands Aepel, Blind by JW, and Classics Anew are joining us to showcase their unique clothing and accessories.

This exhibition is organised by Redress, co-organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, and held at the DX design hub, with support from the Creative and Cultural Industries Development Agency. 

The exhibition brings together creative units from 6 designers, artists, and community innovators, inviting the public to re-observe familiar everyday objects and explore their "added value" and creative potential within the city and community, uncovering various creative aspects and the hidden delights within the ordinary.

The exhibition invites visitors to explore the diversity of materials that shape our world. Powered by matériO', The Barn showcases over 1,500 special, unique and innovative materials—from rare textiles to sustainable resources. Each material tells its own story, challenging visitors to reconsider their relationship with precious, finite resources while encouraging mindful consumption through repair, preservation, reuse and recycling. This hands-on experience offers a distinctive space for inspiration, where visitors can physically engage with materials and connect with thousands of producers to bring their creative visions to life.

This installation is using projection mapping technology, the paper-made gigantic Chameleon is perching in DX design hub, its altering skin imitates the evolving characteristics of Hong Kong designers.

This permanent exhibition features a timeline showcasing the vision and development of Hong Kong’s design industry from the 1960s, along with the DFA Awards Hall of Fame featuring winners of prestigious DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer, DFA Design Leadership Award, DFA Lifetime Achievement Award and DFA Designer of the Year.
